Parallel Conical Twin Screws are extensively used in extruders. Counter-rotating, closely intermeshing twin-screw extruders are primarily being used for the production of pipes, profiles and sheet of unplasticised PVC. Conical Twin Screw extruders are primarily used in the lower to medium performance range, as principal and co extruders. Parallel twin screw extruders are mostly used in the medium-to-high performance area. For palletizing where the maximum performance is required, parallel extruders are used almost exclusively.
